Following the third round of Cairotronica titled Data Fiction, we return to you with a 10-day event during which we feature 2 different artwork one of which hasn’t been on display before.
The exhibition is held at Tahrir Culture Center and it opened at 7 pm on 26 June and continues to open daily from 11 am to 9 pm until 5 July.

The artworks on display are:

Algorithmic Perfumery by Frederik Duerinck

At Algorithmic Perfumery, participants walk away with tangible and usable memorabilia of the work. A unique scent is made and compounded on-site, based on a questionnaire to be finished by the participant. The test consists of psychological, sociological, cultural questions and a few focused on scent preference. By experiencing the artwork physically or online, participants contribute to the ongoing research to improve Artificial Intelligence and reinvent the future of perfumery.

Clouds by Scatter

A generation of artists and hackers have emerged on the internet, inventing open source technologies for art and design. CLOUDS is an interactive documentary and a portrait of this community of digital pioneers explored through the lens of code and networks. In its hybrid format, somewhere between a documentary and a videogame, CLOUDS allows viewers to follow their curiosity through a network of ideas and conversations about art and code visualized in immersive 3D-generated worlds.

This work was shown in April, this time it is exhibited in its VR version.
